About the Author
Louise Scoular was born in Wolverhampton, UK (raised by Wolves, as one friend puts it) . After several attempts at stuffing up her education, she finally achieved a degree in Mathematical Sciences from The Open University. Louise lives in Gloucestershire with her husband, who has yet to carry out his threat of moving into the shed, and their two angst-ridden, hormone-fuelled teenage daughters. How We Remember is Louise’s first published novel and the first in an unplanned trilogy (honestly, it was only supposed to be one book!).

Great Find!!!

So glad that I stumbled across this book! I was hooked from the very beginning and stayed up all night to finish. What an ending... I cannot wait until book 2 comes out and for Luci and Alex's story to continue!

How we remember

I was pleasantly surprised to have liked this book. I wasn't expecting anything but a way to pass the time. I was totally taken in by the story. Luci and Alex just stole my heart with their story of friendship, love, and loss.
The story is written with time of present and past. In order to understand the present we are taken back to what the character is reminiscing about. It all works together to bring about a great story.
I don't like the ending because it left me hanging with so many questions. With Luci's revelations to Alex I am curious how it will all play out. The second book can't come soon enough. This book laid the foundation of a great story. I appreciate the character building because I now feel connected to these characters and their story.
Waiting until the end of the year to get any resolution won't be easy, but I am satisfied that this was a good book.

Devoured it in one day!

I was captivated by the writing style, how the story developed and vacillated from past to present and well-developed characters. I connected with the characters because I too dated and married my childhood sweetheart but I loved most the twist and turns in their relationship. After the first chapter, my curiosity piqued and by the time I got to the middle of the story- I just couldn't put the book down. I am still thinking about the characters and story and look forward to Part 2.
