I wanted to read all the Tarzan series, because my father read them all, and loved them. I enjoyed the first four books (so far). Edgar Rice Burroughs style of writing is a little old fashion, which makes it not exciting enough for me.

As fantasies go, Burroughs did a good job of setting characters and scenes. While still formulaic, it's a good formula!
