First time reading Mz. Urban, but it is far from my last.
Love- yes till death do us part is a long time but it’s the events in the middle that can make it pleasurable or horrible. Kandice aka Kontagious loves her husband Derrick. She loves beyond the mommas boy act, beyond the possessiveness, and beyond the lazy d***. But now it is time for her to start loving herself more than she loves this man.
Derrick loves Kandice but because of past events, he has hardened himself and only gives out so much. So with the little bit of love he has in him, he tries to dispense enough to cover all his bases. But it’s like putting a Queen sheet on a King bed, as soon as you get close to putting all sides down, one will pop up.
Alexis fell in love from the first “O”, now she doesn’t have all of him, but she has the best part of him. All she has to do it watch and wait. Problem is it’s hard to watch the very thing you want crumble before your eyes.
Lust- the power of the P. Chance has proved to be his own man. He went from a Prince to a King now all he needs is a Queen. He saw it, wanted it, got it, now he has to determine if it is worth it. Betrayal- you sneaky mother***. You never expect one person to get over on you so openly. Hell forgiveness is given easier when embarrassment isn’t a factor. Oh but Revenge will come into play once you have had enough and it is time to let it be known; I’m not A B***, I’m THE B***.
I tried not to give too much away. This is a book you will not be able to put down because you will want to know what happens next. I enjoy a book that gets to the point and gives me what I need, and this book does that. I really hope I don’t have to wait that long for the next one after this because I am a person that tries to figure out the ending before I get there. But I’m hoping that what I want to happen doesn’t happen, so you can keep me coming back for more.

Kontagious: something you can easily catch

Been down on reading for a minute. Nothing was really catching my eye. This book was suggested to me. Well I must say it was 'highly catching'. Its about a woman scorned and sickened by the dirty deeds of her husband. That woman is Kandice aka Kontagious, a self appointed diva who is left lacking in one department..the bedroom. Her husband, Derrick isnt putting in work..well at least not with her. So what's a girl to do but step out and catch the next hot thang smoking. That man happens to be Chance..a smooth talking hustler who puts it down in the streets and in..well Kandice. But as we all know..what's done in the dark always comes to light and Kandice's present secrets are in no way a match for the sickening lies her husband has been hiding. But as Kontagious tries to spread around some of that hurt and anguish she has been dealt, more things get revealed and the more sickening things she does the more the past comes back to haunt her and all those around her. The saying 'the arm's of flesh will fail you' is very applicable to this plot..and so is 'what a small world'.
I really enjoyed this book. I was in a book funk, where I couldn't really find something interesting to read as I read a lot but this really was enjoyable and got me back on track. The twists and turns really kept me on the edge of my seat. When I thought I had something figured out, it got flipped. Good plot and believable characters. It had a few grammatical errors but it was so good I was able to over look that. I can't wait for part 2 for this drama to unfold.

Riveting and Captivating Book!

I received this book as a gift from Author Nikki Urban to interview her on my blogtalkradio show, Priceless Minds on Black Satin Radio. OMG!!! Is all I can say. I am happy to say that I am Kandice!! I was the good girl, who could turn into the baddest, ghetto broad there is. I can fully understand the connection to not being properly pleased by the man you love and being seduced by the man you lust after! My heart was pounding with suspense as I turned each page to become more engaged and intertwined in the lust, lies, deceit, sex, etc that each character portrayed throughout the book. The book was easy to follow and flowed consistently into each act/chapter...until I got to the end and was left hanging with questions and trying to figure out the open-ended questions that plaque d my mind!! Come On Nikki, Let Us Know When Part 2 Is Coming Out Cause I Am Left In Suspense Like I Was While Watching Desperate Housewives, Prison Break and Scandal!!! Had me rocking to each song at the beginning of each act/chapter. This book definitely needs to become a movie, short film, play or something. I would love to see how this looks with human characters acting it out on a stage or movie theater! Great Job Nikki Urban! Exceptional Work!!!
