Priya Ardis did an excellent job of ending this series, which is so important in my opinion. The modern day feel of this classic story set in a YA background was so entertaining, and though intense, there was enough humor to keep you from feeling overwhelmed. (Always YA at Heart Blog Review of Ever My Merlin, Book 3, My Merlin Series) I felt powerful emotions as I read Ever My Merlin. Part of it was knowing that the story was winding down, and when we fall in love with characters, it is like saying goodbye to a close friend. Reminiscent of the love triangle in the Vampire Diaries. Love the way Ryan thinks and love Vane. The writing is fun, the story is creative with the Arthur legend, and the pace is perfect. Vane is so snarky it is great. You will laugh and cry and laugh some more. The characters are flawed and real and you find yourself picking sides. Truly a fun, entertaining read.

This was a beautiful trilogy.The world building, the writing, the character development, the action scenes, and the emotional connections were all fantastic. I would recommend this book for a pre-teen or an adult.
The first few pages don't seem that gripping but by a chapter in I was totally hooked. I'd gotten the first book for free and came back to buy all three and read them in the same night. I'd initially expected some sort of angst-ridden teen flick with fantasy elements, but the narrative stayed in age with the characters without falling into a Twilight trap.
Seriously, if you're looking for a new series to read, this one is it.
