LOVED Daniels Novella & All the extras!! *SPOIL ALERT if you haven't read any of the books which would be a damn shame!

I have been looking forward to Daniels novella for a long time and I must say it did not disappoint me one bit. I loved how funny, raw, edgy and even saucy it was!;) I felt it was a true and accurate way to describe how Daniel felt. And boy was he feeling alot, lol! All the different emotions he was feeling was a bit overwhelming thanks to Leila for putting him through the ringer. (Some times I think she don't deserve Daniel, but that's neither here or there.) But no matter how pissed off he would get, in the end he would always feel bad or sorry and was forever the gentleman.
I loved the insight on where he got the idea of when he blindfolded Leila and took them to their special secret place. It was great to learn more about his Papa who was so full of wisdom especially when it came to women, lol! I loved Bella's cameo appearance hehe! I LOVED the advice his Mama gave him.."Then my only counsel to you is - be a man. Own your feelings. Speak your heart to her. Hold nothing back. And if she does not accept it, then be a man and walk away, knowing that you will move on. You will find another one day, worthy of the gift you offer her."..BEST advice ever!
The heavy make out scene outside the hospital by his truck..loved the way you described what and how Daniel was feeling..his dreams of her and their lovemaking..that was freakin' HOT!! Leila's poem/invitation to Daniel was pretty damn hot too! =)
Thank you for filling in the blanks on EVERYTHING that happened to Daniel when he was taken by force by Sarona and her sisters. He endured a whole lot of pain & ass kicking before he even got to the beach. I just wanted to reach out and stab those sisters in the eye, ugh! But through it all Daniel was still cracking jokes, lol!
I'm still reading through the extras which is pretty neat, so thank you for that as well! Overall Grrrreat (like Tony the tiger) job Lani! You did it again and I look forward to more more more!! =)

Crazy inlove with this book!

I bought the first book and hesitated on getting the second book. But through the first two chapters of Telesa, I knew I HAD to have WHEN WATER BURNS and I bought it. I couldn't wait for it to get through the mail so I bought it on Kindle. I started reading and never left my room until I finished the entire book. Coming to a close of the last chapters, I was sad that I was almost done with the book. It made me proud of being Polynesian, even more so Samoan. It also made me look at my own 'personal Daniel' in a new light. I am the luckiest girl alive! :) The way Lani described Samoa and the food, I swear to goodness I thought I was in Samoa. It made me fall inlove with my culture, my heritage, my Daniel...hehehe...ITS A MUST HAVE!!

Switching the story up to other main character was exciting.

Enjoyed reading this book so much. It's exciting to know what's been on Daniel's mind and how he felt for Leila initially. Thank you for an incredible read. Loved it. I am not a kindle but a book fan and after purchasing this book on Kindle, I am still going to purchase the actual book. Cannot wait for the next book and your next books coming up :)
